📣156th EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION PARADE TODAY: Starting at 11am, Olympian Raven Saunders will lead the parade from Burke High School and end at the future site of the International African American Museum at Gadsden’s Wharf. The Charleston Emancipation celebration is the oldest parade in the nation commemorating the Emancipation Proclamation as it’s been happening on New Year’s Day since 1866.
